I Got Waved!

Usually it's me initiating the wave (and not a whole lot of returns btw), but on my way home today I got waved by a PW MCS with bonnet stripes.

I needed that today.......Les

I've noticed that there are fewer "wavers" in L. County as compared to C. County...where were you when you got waved?

I don't live in L. County (haven't since 1986) but I've been there once since getting my MINI in Jan/07 and they just don't seem to wave at all.

I got my 1st wave the day I picked up my MINI, coming home from my friends house (I was showing it off) I heard a horn and saw the hand protruouding out of the window. I was SOOOOOO excited and didn't expect it at all.

And remember that sometimes MINI owners have to drive their truck to the landscaping supply store. So I might be waving at you even if I am not in my MINI!

The day i got my mini a random old guy honked and gave me a thumbs up the other day I got my first Mini wave (and he flashed his lights)... I get the stares and the stops in the parking lot all the time --- it really does make my day. Haha!

me too.

Went to Chicago for Thanksgiving last year. Was stuck driving my Mom's Cadillac for a week - and caught myself waving to 3 MINIs.

The purple MCSC that I waved to from the Caddy actually waved back! I think she must have "understood".

The other 2 gave me the, "WTF is her problem" stare.

I'm thinking that, when I ride in someone else's car, I need to carry around my motoring message cards. At least it should be more apparent that I'm not some random nut waving.

What I've observed is that girl drivers in Nashville don't tend to wave voluntarily (or even wave BACK) until you wave at them first. It's always the guys who wave and I'm MORE than happy, as a girl driver, to wave back.

People in my part of tn don't wave period... They usually give you a stupid look or shake their head in disgust that you waved at them.

Of course, I get a crapload less waves now that I have put on the black rims and the tinting. Maybe if my car looked more inviting?
