I am an ex-pat Brit with the MCS-JCW as discussed below. I sent BBR (http://www.morego.co.uk/bbr-gti/mini.php )in the UK this e-mail after having lusted after their none-to-cheap upgrades.Surprisingly and quite rudely (I think) I have not had the courtesy of a responseI am wondering if any of my fellow mini enthusiasts can answer the question that apparently BBR finds to tough to even respond to.Thanks to all for any advice

I have a ‘04 MCS/JCW. I am looking to upgrade power and performance while still maintaining driveability and reliability.
Do you have a recommended installer for your kits in S. California? Also do you have any threads on either NAM or Mini2 which would provide customer recommendation for your upgrade kits?

Steve Auto Clinic, I have not done any buisness at his shop, but in the next few month when my mods start arriving I know he is the one that will be installing them.

 

Steve's is great to work with. he's in northridge.

Johnny's auto clinic in san pedro

steve's does not have any kits set up but can guide you thru the mods.
His MINI mods are less extreme than FBR and Johnny's in that he does more head/cam work.
I know that FBR has a couple of kits and there are a couple people on here with Johnny's kits also. These are twincharge kits and turbo only setups. (both include head/cam work)
There's also Central Coast Coopers in oxnard.

all are very good and have plenty of experience with their techniques. It all depends on what you want, what you want to spend, and where youre located.
