TR2 or original TR3. Those buggy-eyes are the key.

... to hone your sense of humor a bit. What, pray tell, would be left of the XLR (other than that great dash-to-axle proportion) if it were deprived of its front end, coo-coo notched tail lamps and all those d@#ned bevelled surfaces?

Just got my MC2 mag, and did a search here to find this thread...

Wanting a RWD roadster with some character, I'll be waiting to see what evolves. Talk of a 2.0 powerplant, with turbo, sounds very enticing. If it happens, sounds like it would be made in SC at the BMW plant...

Please, do it, and keep it light!

And it looks like it might be... if they do indeed build it on the new Z2 chassis:

http://www.automobilemag.com/feature...0_2011_bmw_z2/

Target weight = 2,139 pounds!

I'd get it just to **** off the classic Triumph owners, just as some of us "BINI" owners **** off some of the classic Mini crowd....LOL...J/k
I like it, if I could get away with a two seater, I would get one in a heartbeat too.
what attacted me to the MINI was that I wanted a classic motoring experience (a la convertible British sportscar) but with New car reliability...This would fit the bill nicely IMO...
