Union Jack Floor Mats
OK, the mats got here today. Two front floor mats, two rear mats and the boot mat. Here's a quick photo:

Colors are bright and the quality is acceptable for my needs which is for car shows. If you look at my Flickr photos (Flickr Link) you can see that the colors are dyed onto the white background. There is no bleed however and the lines are crisp and sharp. The weight of the carpet is about the same as standard auto carpet. There is no rubber backing so I think if you were to use these for everyday you would have some sliding issues, but again for car shows these will be very nice. I will get some photos of them installed this weekend if the weather is nice.
Bottom-line: worth the price for my needs, but I don't think so for everyday usage. Give the 3-1/2 stars out of 5.

Thanks MiniMaybee. They look really nice. I was wanting the checkered ones for every day use so I am glad you saved me from buying them because I don't think they would stand up well for that
You know, bamattt, you could always get a set, spray no-skid on the back (in the rattle can, stuff you buy for area rugs in the house) and scotchguard the heck outta the top, and they would probably be OK...
You could try these checkered mats - very nice.

Thanks for the photos. Looks really nice. I think they would be ok here in Virginia since the weather isn't bad most of the time. But I agree with the
Scotchguarding, makes since. Will be interested to see them in your MINI.

Yeah I've seen the JCW mats in pictures only & they describe them as "metallic" so I'm not too sure about adding a metallic & black check to all my white & black. I really need to see them in person.
I have a set of Coco mats that I won't even risk using during the winter months with all the mud and salt. I use rubber mats this time of year. I will probably do the 303 Fabric Guard on these UJ mats like I use on my convertible top. I've use it on the seats, and carpet and I think the stuff is great. Also the idea of non-skid on the back is a good one!
These look fantastic! I would love to get a set for my MINI, but I'd prefer them for every day use and not for show only. I imagine there's something you could coat them with to make them more fit for every day use, or am I dreaming? Also, I would think adding something to the bottom would prevent them from sliding around too.
I sprayed them with 303 Fabric Guard this afternoon. 303 makes Scotchgard look like hair spray. It is the same stuff that I use on the canvas top on the convertible.
I don't know of a rubberized spray for the non-skid backing.
