22 here still working to pay off and make my r53 faster. I have payed for it all myself with my job
I have to admit most mini owners are older but who cares. I don't mind that police think im old and like to drive slow less tickets! especially cause I get completely lost in my superchargers whine and can't take my foot off the gas. it just wants me to floor it I swear!

Yepyep... 17 almost 18 year old here. Have gotten lucky with my cars so far... Bought my first car, Mercedes c240 from my old man, totaled it, got a friend's BMW X5, hated having an SUV, sold it, worked my *** off, got a brand new MINI, and am never going back. And soon my grandpa is giving me his 1974 Spitfire Triumph with 500,000 miles and it's running like it has 50,000. Glad I saw this thread...
Have you all done anything to your MINIs?? I'd love to hear any mods!

Nothing yet. I just got my R56 a week ago, so I'm just enjoying it while I figure out what I want done. I'm definitely getting the functional hood scoop intake mod from Mini Madness, along with their 1" drop spring set, picking up some 17/225/40 tires (if I can fit them on my wheels), and then I plan to throw on some rice by adding a strut bar and a front lip. That should be it.
Basically, I'm looking at about $600 in modifications and my car will be awesome fun to drive.

Let's see... I definitely recommend plast-dipping all the chrome on the car. I love it so much that I may end up vinyling it at a professional body shop. Takes about 3-4 hours total to take everything off and apply 3 coats. It TOTALLY changed the whole look of the car and it is soooo much prettier now.
So far I've added a Quicksilver Catback Exhaust and it made me enjoy my MINI so much more. I remember how amazing it was to start it up the first time and hear it screaming to life! I constantly get compliments on it. In fact, I went to a car show, and a guy with a Ferrari Enzo FOLLOWED me to my spot just to tell me how amazing my exhaust sounded. Took him for a drive, and I got a ride in his in return.. unfortunately I couldn't take the driver's seat
I dropped the car 1.4" with my friend's help and it improved the looks and handling beyond belief. H&R sport springs.
I want to add a BOV and a CAI eventually, but not in a big hurry. People always ask me why I spend so much time working on my MINI and spend so much money on it, but I just tell them; "If you had one, you'd understand".

I'm 19 and have had my car since about two months after I turned 17. I haven't done any real mods other than the aero kit back bumper. Apparently the university wants my money more than the car. Go figure.
I'm hoping to put some driving lights on the car before the end of summer. I'd also like to put a skid plate on before winter (we get a lot of snow here and the city doesn't seem to have the equipment to properly remove it).
As far as performance goes, I'd like to get a decreased supercharger pulley, CAI, and exhaust but these mods can come at a later date.

Under 25 :)
I am 22 and just bought my mini last month. It's a 2003 S manual. British racing green with white stripes, roof, and mirror. Plus PIAA fog lights. I'm not a huge car person but I love my mini. I'll get a picture up soon.
Hoping to meet others from southeastern MA here.

Under 30 here lol
I'm 28. Apparently this thread started by back in 2003. The 18 year old that started it is now 26 lol. Kind of amusing it has stuck around. Younger Mini Cooper drivers are the cool ones of course that is only an opinion and doesn't necessarily reflect the views of everyone in this thread, lol. The under 30 crowd that is still out there having a good time. Glad to see more and more people under 30 buy these cars. They're great.

I had a 2009 HT base. I fell in love with it, so I just sold it for the 2012. Now I'm carless until the 2012 gets delivered. I'll be mooching rides from my boyfriend's A6...oh joy. lol

A6's aren't bad...cough, cough...He should have gotten an S4 lol. The new ones are nice. I spec'd my next Cooper S lol. Gonna get a one spec'd like my current car only a JCW this time.

Although for the time being, I just have to mod my R53 to make it more like a JCW

Yup, I'm on there and I post sporadically. I'll definitely be at meets this summer.
