This is by far, the BEST thread on the site. But, maybe I'm a little bias.

I've owned my Pure Silver 2009 Mini Cooper S just a few weeks. Wife & I live in an apt complex. I'm waiting for the right time & place to take some digital pics of my Silver Critter. I have an appt at my local Mini Center for an JCW TK install on 6 Dec. If, the weather is ok I'll take some pics then post them here.

The wonderful thing about PS is that it looks good no matter what the weather looks like. I am considering taking some pics tonight, just because I can.

In fact, some of my favorite shots of pure silver are night shots because the car really does show up well on film in the dark. It just shines in a way that other colors can't.

Here is my brand new 2009 PS/B with black bonnet stripes that I picked up yesterday at the Mini dealership on a trade assist with my former 2008 CR/CR MCSa (in the background).

Why the switch from CR to PS? And from a 2008 to a 2009? Of course everyone on this thread will heartily approve of the new color!

I had an excessive heat problem in the driver footwell that couldn't be corrected with my former 2008 CR/CR MCSa so I was offered a trade assist from MINI USA and in to a 2009 MCSa and I fell in love with the PS/B color combo.

 

Any new PS owner with pics to share (or old timers with new pics)?

Well this isn't exactly a picture of my fullsize MINI but it is a picture of an exact scaled down replica.

Well as you already know, the body kit came after the impact with the Black Bear.
So the 1/18th scale represents my MINI as it came from the factory.

 

When are we PS owners going 2 get some logos or badges?

This past summer I bought my 02 Cooper S P/S with black top from a guy who did not take care of it. The S Lite rims are scratched beyond belief; like the knucklehead road the curbs. I'm going to replace them this year (2009) when I replace the tires (going away from runflats) and need some good ideas. I really liked the youtube video on page 13 rims, as well as the R90s. Could use some steering.

 

In years past I became accustomed to getting 100K+ miles on a set of Toyo 800's on the old family wagons (Caprice X 2). I just had Toyo Proxes 4 mounted on my '06 MCSc. We'll see how they do on milage. I really like the ride they provide. Toyo is a brand I have seen very little mention of on this forum. I tried to get the Toyo Snoprox S952 but the dealer said they aren't into production yet. That will be for next winter but the new all seasons have done well in what snow we have received so far. Hope this helps.
