Hallo out there... Craig, you still doing your magic? I've had more fun with the art you did for Mocha- who's going strong and still as sassy as ever (have to watch her though, she flirts with EVERYONE!).
Mocha's getting a little sister... an Ice Blue S convertible. If you're still working your magic, I'd love to get some art for her ~ and/or even a "family portrait" (Mocha is now sporting black shoes and a ferring on her roof racks- neither of my girls have stripes!).
I'm working in slow-mo mode, so if you PM me, it might take a moment or 3 to get back with you. New baby should be arriving stateside next week. Don't know how long they'll keep her in the nursery...

In the past, you made an excellent work of my Mini, thank you one more time!
In the next month I will be a father for the first time (a boy), and i was wondering if you could send your work but in vector file to be able to put on the wall of his room on vinyl with a good resolution.
Recently i put a scoop in my hood, if not much abuse, you can do the up-grade?

Yeah, it's been a long time since he made one from what I have heard. I never had anything come of my request either. I'm thinking of playing around with photoshop and seeing if I can get something that looks semi-animated. I'm not really an artist though so we will see how that goes.

 

Well to be exact his last post on this thread was on 10-28-2011 at 10:32 AM. Talking about Trick or Treat and surprising people with inboxes of their cars.

 

Craig is the man when it comes this kind of artwork, but gave me inspiration and help and I love doing it, every time you do a job you learn a little more

I actually have the cartoons as created by Craig (Cooperation) and as were posted in this thread. Problem as I see it though is that his work was created specifically for MINI owners and NAM members who requested it of him with the specifics of their cars. Like mine below..... And he gave me three to choose from. He graciously gave his time and talent as he saw fit to do. The cartoon was a gift from him. I don't see it right to take one of his cartoons in an attempt to fit one to your cars appearance. They almost have copyright status to them and if you used one that was created for another owner - that would not be fair to that owner. It could be why his work does not appear any longer. Craigs work should be appreciated for its creativity and any use of his work should come from him with his approval.

 

I understand that his work was specifically for those who asked. That is why I posted the question. The way I read this and the other sticky with the cartoon collections is that the purpose was to have them all in a central location for reference in making new ones. I have seen some responses in this thread with people talking about making their own based upon one that is already made. If I am unable to get ahold of Craig then how would I be able to receive permission to use any that are posted for the public on the sticky thread. I am not artistic at all so i was trying to see if there is anyone around that makes these anymore. I would imagine that a general mini template would have to be used regardless if it was Craig or someone else?

 

From a friend who knows Craig..... He has basically retired from making the cartoons. He does not respond any longer as the demands were just that....... demands and expectations and not requests. That I know of he does not monitor NAM any longer. With that his creations are now a part of NAM history. It is time for another member to step up, create a new template and create in their vision a variation for those who would like a new signature. The originals were R50's, R53's, and R56's. It is time for F56's to be created. I'm sure that of all the members of NAM.....there is a very creative illustrator and graphic designer that can create a drawing that others will like. Good luck in your quest.

 

R57s too! But he had retired by the time I bought mine so I created built one via photoshop to pull together the options on my car. Definitely need someone with creative skills to tackle the F56.

 

Love his work. wished i had a mini at the time he did the cartoons.
