Tron Chief thanks for the kind words. Found this web site a few months ago after we made a firm decision to buy. This site has answered a zillon questions which allowed semi-intelligent shopping. We knew a few years back "that gray" color is what we wanted when the time was right. We have been looking for a few months for "the configuration" and was days from walking into Sterling Mini and ordering when we found him/her in Baltimore. We've owned it for a week but HOPEFULLY get to pick it up tomorrow after a "few" after market items are installed.
Owned a few fun hot cars in my day (66 GTO tri-power 4 spd, and a 67 Lt Blue Vette with side pipes), and spent 20 yrs flying fun stuff for the Army, but the big smile from last week's test drive is still on my face. Even the wife is still grinning.

2010 JCW DS/B (DSOC #460) Nav and a bunch of other neet stuff

Thanks for 20 years plus in the Army, I'm wrapping up 28 going for 30 in the Navy. Lots of friends here and we all look forward to getting to know you as your now part of the Mini family. Just like service members wave at each other in passing in civilian clothes we wave at each other in our Mini's and if we miss a wave many will feel bad about it. Although you will have Mini owners that don't wave etc and they normally just got the car because it is great on gas, has a good warrantee etc. to bad they will never know perma grin from a good set of twisty roads

Right on. My car is DS/DS and mods are in my sig. My car is easy to spot cuz it has a "body kit" front bumper on it. A temp fix until I can find an aero front bumper for less than dealer $.

Hey Chief, I think you need to add some real class to your Dark Silver MINI. Check these out. They're made of Amboyna burl and African Blackwood and are AWESOME!! Don't make Beelzebub go any quicker, but when we get to where we're going we arrive in style. If I've set the hook right, check this site: robincasady.com. LMAO

Very nice, how is the weight of the shift ****? Although I'm still in love with the Carbon Fiber M7 **** due to the summer heat in central California if you know what I mean.

For me, the weight and feel of this **** is near perfect. It has a Whalen SS adapter inside and I'd guess the actual weight at about a pound. The Blackwood is a very hard dense wood usually used to make top tier woodwind instruments. Amboyna burl is the highest quality and most expensive burl wood on the planet. It's the veneer they use in the Maybach! The grain is actually 3 dimensional. I've had my hands on most of the after market ***** and nothing comes close to this one. Don't sweat (!) the heat part, I grew up in Shafter! LOL. All this for only $20 more than a Whalen Shift Machine.

Here's ToBFree - DSOC 32, recently put into rest mode

As of this weekend, I'd like to request a new DSOC number for what will become 2BFREE2 or TOBFREE2 (plate request pending arrival of a title). I obviously like the DS/B MCS. Checkered mirrors being picked up today. I'll post some better photos once I have both MINIs cleaned up. I'm really loving this turbo.

Its nice to see the history from number 32 to 462. 2BFREE2 (final name pending license plate). Let me know what the final name ends up and I will take care of the list.

I wasn't so lucky with the Ohio BMV on my license choices. Someone already had 2BEFREE and the others weren't permitted. End result is TOBFRE2 for #462. Thanks Tron Chief!
