I really like the BBS-looking wheels that come as an option from MINI. however, they are only 17" and BBS doesnt make an 18" for the Mini
I am prolly gonna get OZ Racing Ultraleggera or something like that.

Anyone gone to the track or autocross? How does the Mini do? I am thinking of tracking mine, with me and my husband driving. He is a REALLY advanced driver, so he will be dirving the Mini VERY hard, so i am wonderring how they hold up on the track.
Any comments??

They hold up fairly well, but chew through tires fairly quickly if you are pushing it hard. Perhaps a set of track tires (separate from your street tires) would help if either of you become regulars.

MINIs supposedly do very well at autocross events... great balance and handling. A rear-swaybar upgrade helps in the tight tracks.

Friday I experienced a swell Pepper convergence on Lombard in SF... three Peppers side by side, me inmy PW/W flanked on either side by PW/Bs... it was kind of surreal.

 

I bet you had a big smile on your face ! The Peppers I've been running into have been very rude with not so much as a smile. What's up with that.

Became a 2006 MCS PW/B owner in May and have just rolled through 3,000 miles and loved every one of them. Not too many MC's in the area - Springfield, MA., so if you see COOP523 go by give me a wave (and I will go by, not linger behind). Can I please have # 47. My first choice would be # 523 but that is already taken (Hi smidget).

Hello everyone!

I just ordered My 2006 Mini Cooper S today! Im very excited, the dealer told me that production would start around Aug 13th. Needless to say i am counting down the days.

As for details about the car.

Its pepper white body/roof
LSD
DSC
((kept the 16 inch V rims, i'll be getting aftermarket soon, if not before the car arrives))
Xenon lights/front fogs
On board computer
Multi function steering wheel
Ipod interface adapter
Space cloth interior ((i dont want a sweaty back, it gets hot in FL!))
Anthracite interior trim

that about sums it up, nothing crazy.

I'll be taking pics and posting them as soon as the car arrives!

 

hahaha you know, I DO carry a tiny digital camera, mostly for road rage/accident use, but I was wishing I had a guy across the street taking a shot. I thought about shooting panoramic set of three and splicing together, but the traffic on Lombard was dodgy, and I didn't want to get distracted...
