Rota RB W/PPW

[quote=MINImal lag;3299531]

It is a pity Rota does not make an RB that will fit over the 17" Brembo Big Brake Kit so I had to go with the Team Dynamics. These Rota's were sprayed (rattle can) with Dupli-Color Dark Bronze.

Can I get Onboard? Would like #1943

My PW/CR top and mirrors Factory '11 JCW is scheduled for the port at Brunswick, GA on 6/8. #1943 matches my yr of birth. Yikes, that even looks old. I will brag and tell you I still run around 50 miles per week! Total miles run since I started keeping track back in April, 1976: 73,421 miles and counting. Thats more miles than my last 4 cars. Nick

Welcome aboard DoubleNick, officially #1943. Impressive mileage...keep it up! Can't wait to see pics of that new PW/R JCW...don't forget to pop back in and post some when you park it long enough to get a shot or two. Motor on and Run on in good health and happiness...

Pepperize me

Hi. Just got my new 2011 Pepper White MCS last week and just joined this outstanding forum. Although I'll head over to first gear later on, my first post is to the "Peerage". I'd like to request #027 please.

Thanks! Wish I could have made it to the MOT this year but unfortunately I didn't get my mini in time to make arrangements. Did you go again this year?

We were there again and reserved the same cabin for MOTD 10 (2012). Pepper Whites were there in grand style of course and well represented. It's a great event...already counting down to next year.

Stupid question:

I feel really ignorant to have to ask this question, but why do picture posters block out their license plate numbers ? # 1947 here and obviously a "newby"
Thanks,
Mark

I'm not sure why they do it. Maybe they're afraid someone will run their plate and get all their personal information...or maybe they have outstanding warrants... I'm sure one of our more enlightened members can shed some more "intelligent" light on the subject...or we can just have fun making up reasons.

Thanks DooBah, Looks like I'd better not embark on a career of crime as long
as my plates show up untouched in my pix !

I'll have to watch for it next year. I get up into the mountains at least once or twice a year but this event looks like it's worth an extra visit. Glad you were able to go.

I'm new here too but I have a reason for blocking mine out. It's an excuse to goof around by inserting a small pic of a real Silverback on the blurred plate. Hard to see on the sig.

If you do find out the real reason people do this, please post it.

I will indeed, 027. In the meantime , I hope your cool (and creative) license plate mod helps in carving out that next APEx !

Hey MINImal Lag, I'm the guy you are referring to in your post. Simply boils down to making a choice and going for what's right for you. For me I prefer a small measure of privacy, and with identity theft becoming more frequent, being cautious with real information floating out in cyberspace is the prudent thing to do. But again it's nothing more than preferences; like the fact that I went with the PW with a MT and my spouse chose her CR with an AT. What a great country!

In celebration of the Peerage I had to post this pic. From the top of Mt. Washington, NH - MINIS on TOP 2011. I motored with these 2 PW/B's for nearly 1,000 miles.
