Hey, can i ask you an off topic question - Do you own an Audi A6 and post on AudiWorld as well? I only ask because your sig looks very familiar as to what someone did with their signature over on AudiWorld - even down to the Black Lab

It's a little checkered flag, PPE A bunch of us from STL MINI Club have either the checkered flag or the Union Jack. If you would like one, let me know. I can bring it to the Dragon in May

Throwing my BRG MCS into the ring.

I also considered Pure Silver/Black & Hyper Blue/White, but in the end I figured if I was going to have a British Car, it had to be in an F1 pedigree color.

First of all, most ANY post is a "tell us how you feel" post.
Second of all, where in my sentence did I bash?

dgboggs: You would have been better off not saying anything. This thread is about appreciation as I stated when I started it. Saying it reminds you of a Ford Taurus is a 'bash' in many people's minds. I started this thread as more of a lesson to the other 'Color' threads as an example of how to do create these threads without all the negativity that can be created (and which your post tryed to foster . . .even if that was not your intent).

Everyone else: Good job and keep 'em coming

Since when are you supposed to ONLY go to a specific thread?.. And why is everyone here so G***amn sensitive? Black is a pain the **** to keep clean, and shows every little imperfection and is hot in the summer. I like black, but it is no big deal to me if someone else dislikes it. I don't care if they come on my Black Rulz thread and says it reminds them of a Kia Rio. The Taurus used nearly the EXACT same color as the green, and they also used it on the Mercury Cougar, so what? It's an observation!! If someone gets offended by that (not you, but just "somebody") then they have a few too many positive things in life to focus on, and they are too wrapped up in their cars... It's just a car!

Well.. I was feelin' the love...

Count me in. If you're feeling British, we could refer to the group as the Brigade, since BRG is kinda short for that, too...

Too bad it's not a pedigreed colour... One of the biggest mistakes MINI made, imho, was going with a boring Camry-esqe dark metallic green and calling it British Racing Green. A rich, non-metallic BRG would have looked fantastic with the white roof and mirrors. Oh well, no need to dwell on failed opportunities...

I bought a MINI on a whim!

Hi all,

I just bought a new '06 MCS this past weekend! I only browsed the website on Friday for an hour or so, considered buying a silver MCS, then went on Saturday morning to test drive the MCS. Ferman MINI said that there was a 4-5 month wait to order one, so I bought the first MINI that I test drove that day, a '06 MCS BRG with premium package, leather, and 17" S-lites. Those were the options I wanted anyway, and I loved the classic color with the white top/mirrors! What a beauty....!

Aaron at Ferman was the lucky salesman that day.....no BS, just a quick sale at MSRP. I was also able to find one that did not have their Autobond clear bra on (that they charge $990 for!). I am having Ryan from Autopaintguard.com put on the newest 3M film this Saturday for less than half of what Ferman would have charged.

This is my first ever large purchase on a whim....I am so glad I did it! Of course I found this forum and haved learned a lot of info from it. I am considering the Coco mats, parcel shelf, wheel locks, and window tint.

Will maybe do other mods someday....

Found my home thread!

I had always wanted a BRG car after driving a mid 80's 12 cyl. Jaguar coupe in high school.

Now my biggest problem is to Stripe or Not to Stripe?

I will post pictures when I get home...

Love my BRG/white topper - wouldn't trade it for any other color.
