$1,136 shipped and 2.0 hours of my time. I ran 3.0 but 0.5 for the oil change (since its on the ramps) and 0.5 for the neighbor coming by to see what I was up to...

At the dealer, I believe the part is $1,250-ish. $1,353 with tax.

Around $500 or more to install.

Well, if you are handy, it isnt that difficult as a DIY! I did a step by step in my thread (below) with pictures IF interested.

If you have 2.0 hours to kill, it is straightforward.

Otherwise, it is pricey.

Oh no, I have a black top from the factory. I think what you are referring to might be a reflection from the sky/sun.

Oddly enough, that manifold is the same P/N for the S and the Cooper.

It is a pity that there are not many Liquid Yellow MINIs left on this forum. Bummer…

Haha it is a character flaw… haha Actually, when going through college, the girlfriend (now wife) and I had a yellow CRX and a black hatchback Si. At some point we all grow up and we sold off the hatchback to buy a Civic and then Odyssey. Being under duress, I was forced to sell off the CRX to a guy in Los Angeles. At the time, Honda was boring (some could argue still) so I wanted a hatchback. Gravitate to the MINI. Ordered it in Liquid Yellow. After time, kids are older now and the fact that I have a third garage space… I have closure issues… Time to go hunting for that yellow CRX I never finished. So now I am back to having my CRX and my harchback.

So in 10/2011, I found the CRX up in San Jose, CA. Flew up in the morning to purchase him and drove him back to Phoenix. 1 day operation. The rest as they say… is history! Haha

Yes, I have a thing for yellow…

That's a great story. I really wanted a yellow VW Beetle (original) when I was a kid. I had a red one, but reallly wanted a yellow with black top convertible. Maybe someday...

My girlfriend has a liquid yellow 04 MCS. I'll have to get her on the forum. I'm working on trying to trade my 350z for a MCS and a little extra cash

As much as I like his car, I can't let AZ dominate this thread by himself.

Put 600 miles on my LY this week. Enjoyed every minute.
