You will get the car and probably end up just not adding pink. You will love the colour. I thought it was just a Black colour at first, then when I got it outside for the first time the day I got it I was amazed. Its black at night, dark grey/ bluish in the day. Not many AB where I live.

Starry, you'll be fine, no worries. The blue does stand out when clean and in direct sunlight, and in some kinds of light it looks a very dark metallic blueish charcoal, but it's mainly a metallic black. AND... though it hurts me to say this because I'm convinced my checkmate '06 ab/ is male, all of that goes well with most decent pinks. The only ones that may be doubtful would be a bubblegum or light pink - hey, if you're going pink, go PINK! A more "committed" pink would be fine, and a metallic/pearl or a "flop" pink (one that changes color depending on the angle you view it) would be pretty hot - assuming, of course, that you're female... pink IS, after all, the definitive female color...

You doing vinyl or paint for the accents?

Well Im doing HOT pink vinyl star graphics. They're going to start up by the side scuttle and go all the way back. A few will fall onto the boot. The guy thats doing them said the color is called "stripper hot pink" and has huge 70s style metal flakes. Im not sure about anything else... Ill have to see what other people suggest since I'm new to this. Of course I'm female!

EXCELLENT!!! A committed pink! Should look great, I wouldn't worry about it at all. One thing you should consider - the '07 and beyond Minis have a higher "beltline" than the earlier models, and definitely benefit from a "beltline blackout", where a black tape is applied to the chrome beltline. It tightens up the look of the car, especially when other graphics (like your stars) are involved. It's an easy procedure, totally reversible, and in my eyes really improves the looks of the car. Of course, I'm biased as an R53 (previous generation MINI) owner, but that's just me.

Good luck - be sure to post pictures!

Im definitely doing the belt line blackout. I think im going to blackout everything on the outside. I'm either taking the badges off or painting them pink also. I want clear tail lights but they aren't made for the R56 yet.

Ya know I was like an inch away from starting the black out procedure for my R56. Since I kept putting it off, the chrome is really starting to grow on me; I think it makes the MINI really classy and gives it a unique look. I would say get your graphics on and drive it for awhile and then decide about the blackout, you may change your mind. But either way the hot pink will look really good. I'll have to see some pictures when you get it done, my gf would love that.

Post A picture of your new baby - since we know you'll be taking THOUSANDS, we just need one or two to get the idea. Posting pictures of the new car is moot though, since you'll be me-ifying the car before the pictures get developed (and in this digital age, that's pretty quick!)

Congratulations!
