My memory not being what it used to be and that isn't saying much, I thought Ford had a 409. And didn't Chevy bring out a 425 or 427 later on? But I digress. Anything to get more members and get the MMC # to where people that have been wating SO patiently can join and get their virtual T-shirtz. And we all know who they are.

Just curious. How many members are in the Pink MINI club? I came across a bikerette at the Gap that was wearing pink leathers. That would be quite a getup for your MINI.

 

Chevy is 409, early 60s. 427 then 454 in later years
Ford was 429 (for Nascar) BOSS 429, then mostly 428s
Crysler, of course, was 426

 

MMm...454. Had one of those in a '76 Olds 98 Regency. Complete waste of good engine. Of course, it was needed to haul all that steel around.

 

Thanks for clearing that up. I don't know why I thought there was a Ford 409. I can still picture it, plain yellow, bench seats, black tires, but it sure could move. This was in 66/67.

Thanks. I was trying to modify one of the other club emblems because I have a Dark Silver /white top and you show up on the string. Count me in as a member of the Dark Silver Club. Now all I have to do is figure out how to redo my Signature block.

 

I guess seeing that you are TFQON, you can precalim a number or numbers. Your MINI and the reddish-purple one at the Dragon were the first ones I had seen that didn't come with factory colors. Then I saw the General Lee. My theory is that pure MINI owners (those who buy a MINI because of what it is not those who want a little car and have no idea what a MINI is and can do) are about 1 can short of a case and I can live with that. I've been short for years.

There's a thread on here somewhere that you can ask and receive a number. You know, we need more numbers. Search "DSOC." You may like the official DSOC button as the one I am using was modified to take out the shadow.

As for the sig, I (and many here) build those in Photoshop or something similar and then post it somewhere on the net or here in their NAM gallery. Then link it in your member signature to reference the file location. If you need help with that let me know. I use the same sig link at a couple places and have it filed on an obscure website that I don't use any of the space on. When you change that one file, all your sigs update automatically.

Much more info than that and I'll have to call in my youngest for technical assistance.
