St Petersburg FL - Recommended Mini Mechanic

Good day. My daughter is in college in St. Petersburg, FL, and just had to have her battery replaced in her 2017 Clubman. Any recommendations for a place that would be able to register the battery to the car? The closest Mini Dealer is Ferman Mini, about 50 minutes away, which is a bit of a drive for her plus, I'm not a big fan of actual dealers working on the car.

Thanks for any recommendations!

the world will not end if the registration is not done ..... the life of the battery MIGHT be slightly decreased but it will work fine. You can wait a bit and do it when convenient. Any BMW shop should have the right tool <scanner> but there is a love / hate relationship between MINI and BMW shops in some cases ........ My local INDEPENDENT BMW shop WELCOMES MINI business but this is NOT always the case. Typically a BMW dealer won't touch a MINI but this was 'built in' when MINI was set up. A BMW dealer could become a MINI dealer but there had to be separate facilities ....... it's documented .......

I take my 2013 Mini Cooper S to Total German Performance in Largo, FL. They will definitely have the tools and systems to do anything you need, and they will do a good job. They arent the cheapest though. I will say, it is hard to find a shop that is enthusiastic about minis. I havent found one yet.

Thanks.

She went to Ferman BMW/Mini for the battery registration, which was fine for this kind of service. I'll definitely take a swing by Total German Performance on the next trip I take down there, so we have an option if something else comes up.
