Helped my neighbor replace thei head gasket and when the car is put back together, start it up and it revs to the moon! key on, engine off, throttle shows 25% open and when the pedal is depressed, it shows 0%. Visually, the throttle blade is wide open. Anyone run into this before? I have done the reset and you can hear and see the butterfly close and once you turn the key back on it goes to wide open. HELP!!!

 

So I did some tests last night and the TPS is dropping out around 3v and then comes back up while doing the test on the signal wire(which I believe is a different problem) and the app signal 1 at the pedal is reversed, at key on engine off, signal reads 1.8v and at WOT it reads .8v . I did find high resistance in the ground going to the engine so I fixed that. Other than that, voltage tests at the pedal are normal, it is getting the signal wire and the ground. Any thoughts?
