Cover for 2022 Countryman
Cover for 2022 Countryman
I have a 2022 MINI Countryman JCW arriving in January and no longer have a garage, so I'd like to get a car cover.
Can anyone recommend a good cover for protection from the elements that will fit and is high quality?
Thanks in advance.

I got two covers - one for my BMW 335i Convertible and one for my Mini Clubman - from California Car Covers (calcarcover.com) - and they are excellent. They offer various grades of materials, and they will custom make them to fit your car. The one for my Mini was custom made to fit a roof rack and a stubby antennae. Their service and the quality of their products both are superb!
I can only agree on the customized cover route as noted above.
I've used multiple styles of covers in the past for some of my trucks. These are the kind that are 'staged' in terms of quality. You pay more, you get better materials. But the problem is they are lose in key areas (again because not custom). If you are in an area that gets any significant wind, they eventually tear around the grommets because of the flapping effect of wind - even though the material otherwise holds up. I have gone the route of putting bricks etc on the problematic parts of the cover, but not idea.
Also, ask about waterproofing material. A bunch of them are simply sprayed. This means that once that wears off, you've got a wet rag on your car. It caused rust to form in some spots (but this was near ocean). You could fight this with a couple of cans of scotchguard alternatively.
If I needed one now, I'd go custom too. My 2 cents. Congrats on the new ride. Please post pics when it arrives. Sounds like it will be a keeper. John

hi
California Car Covers provided me with two covers, one for my BMW 335i Convertible and the other for my Mini Clubman, and both are great. They have a variety of materials to choose from, and they will custom construct them to match your automobile. My Mini's was specifically designed to accommodate a roof rack and a stubby antennae. Their customer service and product quality are both outstanding! turkish citizenship
