M7 tuning ..horrible experience
Hi all. So I've had the worst experience in dealing with M7 Speed and feel the need to share so nobody else has to go through the same thing. I have a 2016 F56 (Hardtop Cooper S 2 door) and purchased a "special order" hitch which was supposed to simply bolt into the threaded bumper inserts. I waited almost 6 weeks and as soon as I looked at it I had a funny feeling there was no way this thing is gonna fit. The connector bolts are waaay too short and the hitch was manufactured without any kind of bow, so it hits the bumper before even having a chance to screw in. Spoke to this guy (pretty sure the owner) and he sent different hardware but absolutely nothing that would make this thing work. I was pissed. Went back and forth with this guy and he sends me a message saying he won't refund my money. Unbelievable. I'm positive I was their first customer for this supposed f56 hitch and their was zero testing of this piece of garbage. I finally got him to give me a refund, but he says only 80% because there's a 20% restocking fee. Are you freaking kidding me? The thing will not work and you actually plan on selling it to someone else? Actually, I think he knows it was their mistake but is cheap. Doesn't wanna lose a whole extra $73. So now I'm trying to get the rest back through my CC company. Everyone PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY. I've honestly never had such a ridiculously bad experience with anyone..and I've dealt with many different businesses. Please take yours elsewhere. Thanks for reading. Manny.

Does your F56 have the optional bike rack prep bumper that has the tow hook threads on both the left and right side? I've never seen one with this bumper before.
Yes it had the dealer install the bike prep.. came with only the right side threaded so I had them remove the bumper and take care of it for me. I did that specifically because M7's hitch was supposed to fit. They make them for the Countryman too. I believe those ones fit since I've seen photos and reviews, but I'm positive I was the first f56 customer. The product isn't made the same as that one..it doesn't even bow out to clear the bumper. Very weird that they didn't follow the same formula. They tried rushing this thing to market because nobody else makes one like that for these particular models. It was a crappy product anyway..you could see in the quality and the cheap hardware that it was a rush job. I'm mostly pissed that the owner had zero remorse and was absolutely refusing to give me back my money. Anyway, I've figured out a different solution, but at the cost of lots of wasted time, money and my $500 rack that I planned to use. Thanks for the reply.
