Shipping your Mini!

I need some help or some referrals/references. I am going to buy a new Mini. I’ve been doing a lot of searching and it seems as if I’m not going to get something close to me. Anyone have any experience shipping your Mini? It looks as if I may need to send it 2000 miles. I’ve looked into driving it (fun road trip I know!) but the time and cost may not be worth it.

Bought my MINI from a dealer in Seattle and shipped it down to Sacramento for $500. Used a broker called Montway. Be ready to be inundated with different companies quoting service because these brokers send your information all sorts of ways. The process was easy and I liked the updates along the way. The actual shipper was A Team Transportation. WA to CA is a short trip though so I'd expect maybe 2-3x that cost for a 2000 mile trip.

$.70 - $1.00 per mile or more a mile is the last prices I found when looking into it. Last time I shipped a car was 2005 and it was a lot cheaper back then.

I’m getting a $900-$1050 quotes. Anyone have specific questions or considerations I should think about?

Those seem on the low side so I would make sure to research the actual carrier, not just the broker.

Just some final info in case anyone is looking into this. I paid the dealer $800 to set up delivery for a 1000 mile open trailer delivery. Wow it was fast and wow it was dirty when I got it. It rained most of the trip the driver said and the car was sitting in the first (closest to the cab) and bottom spot.
