Is it a Clubman?
I just bought my first Mini, and love it! The seller and the manual indicate it’s a Clubman, however the VIN and Carfax just read as a Cooper. How do I know whether it’s a Clubman? Could just be the wrong manual as I’m now the 3rd owner. Car is a 2012.

Sometimes they call a Clubman a Cooper. Its the naming. On car titles, I have seen MINI as MNNI?

doesn't the Club' come in Cooper and Cooper S variants? And even badged this way on the back?
it is (possibly) a MINI Clubman Cooper .....

note lower right corner of last car ...... the whole Cooper name thing is something MINI has really helped make confusing. I have a Mini and 'show' it and love when the car know it alls begin to describe my car as an original Mini Cooper to their audience. This despite the sign I hang about the car with the headline Mini Not A Cooper. I've a 1979 Mini Saloon 1000. MINI decided every MINI in the US was a Cooper while in history of Mini only approx 3% of Mini production was Cooper (or S) {I only count the original Cooper/S production years of 1961 thru 1971 .... Rover products don't count} A pet peeve of mine ....
WAY BACK I owned an Oldsmobile Cutlass ... but there were several variants of the Cutlass like the supreme and the salon and some years the supreme was more $$ than the salon but the following year the reverse might be true ....... so not restricted to MiNi!!

Yep, like stated above, the clubman has two side hinged “barn doors” on the rear. Other models are a single door hatchback. (I’m generalizing so don’t flame me, R58 guys)
Also even if it is a Clubbie, it’s still a cooper as well, for example I have an R60 Cooper S Countryman. Yours would be referred to in most literature as an R55 or F55 Cooper S Clubman or Cooper Clubman if it’s not an “S”. It gets confusing sometimes, lol.
