Have a British Green F55 with black hood stripes - Thinking of getting these black and grey mirror caps - good idea or stay with the all black caps?

 

I'd go with the checkered caps. If you change your mind, they're easy to switch back.

The black caps seem to balance it for me

 

STAY WITH THE BLACK! It's gorgeous. Put on the checkered caps and wait for the clowns to start piling out of the circus car. With checkered caps, people's eyes will be drawn to the mirrors ... you want them to "see" your car. "Less is more!"

 

Question -
Why does a person ask, what to do to THEIR car ?

Doesn't the owner need to be happy with THEIR car, and not worry so much about what OTHERS think ?
After all, the owner is the one driving, washing, putting gas into the car, taking friends out in HIS/HER car ?

Make YOURSELF happy with YOUR car. Others can fall in behind or go do their own thing somewhere else.

... I had a roommate when serving in the military years ago, every morning he would hold up a sock and ask "What is this?" I would say "It is a sock." (A dark blue one) then he would hold up another and ask "And this?" and I would say "It is a sock." (A red one) and he would relax and say "Good it's a pair." and put them on.

I always enjoyed morning dress time, it was always a real hoot.

I guess my point is sometimes you need a different opinion to evaluate your choices.
