Ready to pull the trigger on a 2013 Cooper S convertible with 56,000 miles.

Any tips on what to look for, what will need serviced, replaced soon, etc.....

That’s a good year, same motor I use with tuning and bigger turbos.

Get it inspected by a qualified shop, using appropriate code scanner.

Also check battery health, they aren't cheap.

We got one last month & I have been learning how to pull & reset codes already!

If you have never had a MINI and do not know what you are looking for relative to issues, IMO you get a reputable shop that knows MINIs to do a PrePurchase Inspection (PPI). Below is a Gen1 thread but there are some good discussions on PPIs.

2013 means N18 motor which has been pretty reliable. See here: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...on-issues.html and then check the service records (or have a dealer check based on the VIN) to see if these issues have been taken care of.

At that mileage, it's due for new brakes. Make sure it's been done, as others stated, get a PPI.

Love my 2013 S. It’s going on 141K miles now and still going strong after some TLC.
