Parking Assist audio - how to disable??

2017 Mini lacking parking assist on/off switch. Can I unplug the speakers? Where are they? Unfortunately my model does not have a switch. Even with the volume all the way down, the incessant beeping is driving us crazy. Any suggestions how to disable???

Look in your Owners Manual for PDC (Park Distance Control). It can be turned off in one of the settings. Note that PDC is separate from Parking Assist.

Thanks rkw- but my model is lacking the pdc toggle switch at the far left on the dash . The controls seem to only reduce volume- yet not turn off

I only peeked at the online copy of the Owner's Manual. It says in the Settings, select "Parking". Volume settings seem to be in a different place.
