Car Cover
Car Cover
(Note: I have rewritten this post because I initially reviewed the wrong cover for my car)
I saw that Seal Skin Covers was advertising here and I ordered one for my Series 2 Clubman and my Subaru Legacy. I got the weatherproof ones with the 5-year warranty. I put on the one for the Mini. It is good quality and worth the about $100 cost. The fit is good. There are straps that go under the front and back to secure it. There also are grommets at the middle for connecting a cable lock. I didn't order the cable lock but they included it at no charge. I don't know if that was a mistake on their part.
The cover is made of several layers so it is bulky when folded. It comes with a bag but I'm not sure I can compress it enough to fit in the bag.
The shipping receipt describes the kind of car you ordered a cover for but the packaging has an Sku number that isn't on the receipt. So I presumed the smaller package was the Mini's cover and the larger one was for my bigger Subaru. It turns out I had it backward which led to some misunderstandings with their customer service.
After some delay their customer service has been very helpful and responsive.
I will post a photo but first I have to wash the car. They say not to put it on a wet or unwashed car.
Anyone else have experience with Seal Skin Covers? If you have a car cover tell me about yours.
