Engine oil : Redline users plz help

I'm going to change engine oil soon, going to switch from Mobil 1 5w30 to Redline 5w30, since the Redline site said that their 5w30 meet the BMW LL-01. I try to order it from Amazon, but there are two different packages, anyone know what different are they?

I don't know the differences in the bottles. But if you have an F56 you should be using 0w/20

If you don't get an answer you might try reaching out to Redline. They have been a small company that is good at responding to inquiries like this.

What I think it just old and new packages, because I just checked both packages stock number, and the number are same.

Yes packaging! And just because the photo shows one label doesn't mean you won't get the other one.

5w30 is what the dealers used till they ran out, I would never use that 0w20 stuff it's just too light, in a few years you'll start seeing "my car uses oil" threads again

The bottom bottle indicates it has extra ZDDP which is an additive useful in flat tappet engines that used to employ lead as an anti-wear agent. I don't know if it helps or hurts modern engines, but you might want to follow others' suggestions and check with Redline.

So I emailed Redline and they confirmed that those two are the same product and just different label.

Good, now you can rest easy and order whichever one you want. It's always best to get the info you need direct from the producer. Best of luck...
