If checking 0-60 time that wouldn't necessarily be the fastest MINI class, but more like the quickest...seen some quick ones 0-60 but then fall short to others with more top speed.

For stock production cars I think the fastest Gen 2 in 2012 was the JCW Coupe, highest speed and fastest 0-60. Then the GP2 came out. Then after that, it was the F56 JCW... until we see a F56 GP3.

When I bought my 2011 MCS used from a local BMW dealer, the salesman on the test drive with me was shocked at how quick "my" MINI was. I was also impressed. Therefore, bought it right away. When I took it to the closest MINI dealer for some minor warranty issues (dis-colored door sill trims, wear on steering wheel control buttons) shortly after, they asked what I had done to it. I had done nothing at that point, and told them so. Even the mechanic who worked on my MCS personally spoke to me, and said I "Got a good one". Bought at 21k, now at 77k 3 years later with no issues other than items covered under my remaining factory warranty or my aftermarket Hendrick warranty, I would have to agree. I got a "good one".
