My XXL policy states that it is transferable to another private buyer.

I'm selling the car to a friend in a couple of days.

Has anyone else transferred their MINI extended warranty? Any tips? Is it a pain? I know I need service records, and I believe I have all those.

Any guidance from your experience is much appreciated.

 

I am not sure if the transfer policy is different between the extended maintenance warranty and the extended vehicle warranty, but my experience was that the selling third party dealer had no idea that the car carried the extended maintenance warranty 7yr/100k. When I set up an initial appointment at my local dealer after buying the car, my service advisor told me I had the extended warranty and didn't ask for any paperwork or anything. Since the warranty is attached to the car and not the owner, I would suspect it should not require much if any paperwork to transfer that to the new owner. They just have to record that there is a new owner and it gets transferred automatically.
