Auto Folding My Side Mirrors

Can anyone tell me if can set my mirrors to auto fold when I lock the doors or with the remote. Currently it only seem to happen when I hit the button designed specifically for folding the Mirrors. This is on my 2014 Paceman-s.

It can, if you get the car coded. You can do it yourself, or get a local BMW/MINI coder to do it for you, usually costs around $100 so best to get a couple of things done in one shot, price doesn't change.

I don't believe there is a way to code auto fold mirrors on a 2nd gen MINI, including the Paceman.

I was able to code my CM mirrors to fold and open with the fob.

Cool. How?

Just through coding or did you have to modify any hardware?

Incorrect.

It can be coded very easily with NCSExpert or BMW Carly App.

Cool, guys. I love to be wrong about this, but can someone explain HOW?

Which parameters need to be changed in NCSExpert, for example?

I know how to do it in ESYS on the F-series cars, but was never able to find anything that worked on 2nd gen MINIs

I used the Carly APP and OBD2 dongle. Super easy and quick

Just google ncs expert how to. If you can do esys then you can do dcan. There is a whole list of options that can be coded out there already on the net and in Excel spreadsheets

Did you purchase the "Carly" branded dongle or another one?

Id like to turn on this auto fold feature on my R55

I know how to use NCSExpert, I used it often when I had a Countryman, but I was never able to find the parameter that made the remote mirror fold work. I tried a few that worked on BMWs, but none worked on my Countryman.

What I'm asking is what specifically was changed. For example, on my F55, these parameters change to make remote mirror fold/unfold work:
ASP_BEIKLAPPEN_BEI_KOMFORTSCHLIESSEN
ASP_AUSKLAPPEN_NACH_KOMFORTSCHLIESSEN

I'm aware of the iCarly app, but think it's silly to pay more money for an app that doesn't do as much as NCSExpert.

The advantage for Carly is the ease of install... it opens up coding to folks that can't deal with the, frankly, ridiculous install process (and don't get me started on the usb-to-obd dongle compatibility issues...) of NCSExpert

Or, am I out of date already? I haven't coded my car in a while... Is the install and compatibility easier now?

FWIW I couldn't find a working setting for autofold on my mirrors on my Coupe either...

Seems odd it can't been seen. Just to make sure, you have the button on your door panel that lets you fold the mirrors?

I've got the knobby thing that allows you to aim the mirrors. In normal use, to get them to fold I twist it all the way one direction or the other, past the usual stop. There isn't a button with the only purpose to fold windows.

For R5X vehicles in NCS:

FRM:
MIRROR_KOMM_DTCS - active
ASP_MEMORY - active (maybe not required)
ASP_BORDSTEIN_AUTOM - active (maybe not required)
ASP_EINKLAPPEN - active
ASP_KOMFORT_EINKLAPP - active

CAS:
KOMFORTOEFFNUNG_FB - active (should be already set)
KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_FB - active

I think I tried those on my Countryman with no luck - I'm wondering if the pre LCI Countryman just don't work that way since there was no button. I did have a 2011...
