I asked this question in audio but haven't had any answers. I recently purchased a 2011 countryman and the stereo ***** are gummy and the rubber on one is about to completely come off! I ordered replacement ***** from ecs tuning and thought the old ***** would just pull off but no such luck and I ve tugged pretty good!! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks so much!

 

I don't have the car here, son has it so I cant go look. From the realoem diagram it looks like you can pop off part of the trim around the buttons and then lever them off. Or you could go gorilla style and vise grip them. If the replacements don't have set screws holding them on then it is just friction fit and tight.

Btw I had same issue and just used some chemicals to make them almost tolerable, sons problem now, lol.

I didn't take the trim off but I did stick a little flat head down the side and lever them off!! Thank you!!!
