Just purchased an 05 R52 on October 15th. Sticker under the bonnet says "moonlight black metallic" yet all my searching points towards Astro Black.
Anyone else have any info?

 

A94 Midnight Black Metallic is the color of my 14 F56. Don't recall a Moonlight. How about a paint code?

Maybe car was resprayed.

Pretty sure Moonlight Black Metallic = Astro Black Metallic. Paint codes are exactly the same so not sure why they're labeled two different color names, but in terms of the actual color they are identical.

 

Maybe in Canada they called it a different color or is was a sticker replacement.

 

Some colors have had different names depending on the market where the car was destined to be sold. For example, Black Eye Purple was also known as Purple Haze.
