Around the time of my last post Oct. 18 of 2014 I was involved in an accident.
I was hit by a driver who was also just hit by another driver (who didn't stop). The car wasn't totalled, the lady that hit me was way worse ( I thank my quick reflexes and the mini's excellent handling that saved me from swerving into the median) . Anyway , had to claim that on my insurance cause the driver that caused the accident took off and the lady that hit me had an expired insurance (don't ask me why the cop didn't arrest her or give her a fine on the spot).
That day I fell out of love with the mini , a few months later I sold it and got a 2008 gti , which I love .
But lately I have been missing my mini. Sure the gti is way faster (I'm stage 2 in terms of mods) and yea there's more space . But even as much as I love VW and the community their is just something missing .
Idk what it is but it's compelling me to get an r56 or even a countryman all4 (I had one as a loaner for a few days). I think I miss the manual trans , the handling , and how much parking was never a hassle.
Didn't think I'd ever wanna own two cars but my wife's in need of a car soon so I guess I'll have a reason
