Bought a "used hitch" for a 2006 Mini
I bought a used trailer hitch for my 2006 Mini Cooper S. It was advertised using ambiguous words that allowed me to think it was a MiniDoMore hitch, but when it arrived it was a New in the box Curt #11126.
The curt website says this is for all the Mini's "except S". But mine is an S. I set out to remove the rear bumper cover and see what the difference was... Apparently not much. I was able to install the hitch and everything lined up fine.
What am I missing. Why was I able to buy a brand new "used" hitch for 50 bucks shipped that fits my car when it says it should not? Is there a hidden "gotcha" that I need to be looking out for, or should i just enjoy the deal....

Know many hitches would not clear SOME of the bumper styles...so maybe the maker/seller got burnt...and just said it doesn't fit.
