In the market for a new MINI

Hello fellow motorists, I'm not new to the MINI, I had a 2010 clubman 6spd a couple years ago and loved it, just wish I got the S model. Well time has come to get the wife a new vehicle and she wants a mini because of my old one just in an automatic so she can actually drive it.

Question is since the years I'm looking at for financial reasons are the 2008-2009 hardtops what are some things I need to be looking for, need to be aware of, and need to avoid since they tend to be 80-100k miles. Thanks in advance.

Hello Chris,

Look for the 2011+ MCS Clubman if you can, or 2011+ MCS Hardtops, it will have more updates on options and the 2011+ have less problematic . Let me know if you need anything else, owned 3 MINI at once before.

I know those are the better years, they're just outside of what I want to spend, and it's either a MINI or a beetle... And I don't mind driving a MINI if I have to but don't want to be seen in a Bug lol

Welcome. Understand about the Bug.

You could do a Cooper ( NON S ) in a 2011 model and find them cheaper, with no heavy option and a stick.
