Blind spot side sensors

I have been investigating 'blind spot sensors' , which trigger a light and/or a warning sound when a vehicle is in the 'blind spot'. It is similar to the PDC, except the sensors are installed on the sides of the rear bumper. Has anyone installed these and are they effective? Yes, I am paranoid ... why do you ask???

PS... I am having a trailer hitch installed at MiniFini and will do the installation of the side sensors when the bumper is removed...a real labor saving.

The most common mistake drivers make. Do some searching and you'll find you can adjust your mirrors so there are no blind spots. Google is our friend.

I don't think mini have those as factory option. Another way to eliminate blind spot is using the euro side mirror. It so much nicer than the DOT flat mirror at the driver side

MINI does not have that from the factory as of yet. But we do carry the Euro Blind Spot mirrors for every model from 2002+ , even the F56 and F55.

I'll save you the time, OP, I googled that a long time ago and keep the URL in my favorites (favorites folder named MINI- 60 plus links). Here it is.

Also, another visibility aid to help see those pesky overhead traffic lights:

I'm not sure where you asked the question first, here or on the Motoring Alliance. I believe your question was very effectively addressed.....
