Odd issue

Not sure if they are related, but I got into my car today and the date/time was reset as if the car lost power after I last used it. I set the date and time and went about my business. A few hours later I turned the car on again, same issue only now my check engine light is on. I had the car in the garage and my hatch kept opening itself on its own.. Which I found very odd, a few days ago I was trying to program my universal garage door opener, could that have anything to do with it? I know I sound crazy but I don't get what's going on!

Check your battery. When they get old and tired, weird things like this start happening.

Definitely sounds like something is off there. Could be electrical. I'd check the battery as well. Good luck!

It stopped! My battery is only a few months old as I just had it replaced. If it starts again I'll take it in, it was the oddest thing!

If it starts up again go around and make sure ALL the battery power connections are tight. A recent replacement then weird electrical gremlins could indicate a loose connection.

When my battery failed, one of the few things that worked was the CD player drive mechanism. It would spin up and spin down repeatedly ( no CD inside ).
Go figure !!

Good Call, its been about 2-3 months since I got it replaced, and I drove all the way from Phila to Houston no issues but I will def. check that if it starts up again.
