Windshield Protector Film
Windshield Protector Film
Any opinions / experiences would be appreciated.
I looked at clearplex but the negatives (lack of longevity, clarity, visibility, pitting) seem to outweigh the benefits.
I'm not price sensitive if the product will last, say 5 years.
I don't want any tint (illegal in NJ) just protection from stone chips.
Thanks.

You can replace the entire windshield, when necessary, for not much more than the cost of high qualify film ($250). And that's assuming your insurance doesn't cover gas replacement.
Not to mention that film chips easier, so you have more visible annoyances to deal with sooner.

Just plan on replacing the glass....
Film can scratch, scuff, etc...why bother on the front? Just too $$ vs new glass unless you have a crazy $$$$ custom interior you want to protect from UV or high heat!!
