Mini Window Motor Weak...

Hello Mini owner's,

I have an 07 MCS R56 and ever since I bought it almost 2 years ago my passenger window has been struggling to close, now that I replaced the rubber molding/chrome trim on the outside it's even more difficult and challenging to open/closing of the window to a point where the motor overheats and shuts itself off to protect itself.

I know that the new molding is applying a little more pressure but it shouldn't be weaker given that my driver side door opens with no such strain. I don't feel like ripping the door panel off until I know whether or not this is something I could fix or perhaps make an adjustment so that the window opens without strain.

I appreciate any help!

Thanks,
Systemlord.
