I made the mistake of reading the comments section of the article. People drive me crazy.

 

Well, the driver escaped injury but both the MINI and the moose were dead at the scene.

 

That's a small moose too. But glad the driver walked away unscathed.

Many moose/vehicle accidents in Alaska never end well. I think at last count, there have been about 60 since July 1st just in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley. That number will be well over 300 by the time the count resets July 1st.

The Mat-Su valley covers about 24,000 Sq. miles and a few hundred miles of paved roads and LOTS of moose; about 14-15 thousand.

 

Wow, the MINI held up great. Read the comments of people with no automotive knowledge.
