2003 Mini need to know
Hi!
I am in the process of buying a new car, and I was thinking of getting a 2003 MINI COOPER 1.6L I4 with a 5-speed.
However, I have heard that these models have transmission problems and high repair costs.
So my question is:
Are the repair costs expensive? Is it more than a Civic? Is the car good enough to make up for it's high repair cost? Do 2003 Mini Coopers have bad transmissions? And if so is there a year model that doesn't have these problems?
Cheers!

Nope, the 5 speed were kind of crappy, OP try to get a MINI with Getrac tranny and without the CVT
More than a CIVIC? Ummmm think more like BMW prices
I'll be honest if you are not planning on doing some of the work yourself be ready to pay up.. MINIs are extremely fun to drive way better than a CIVIC but it comes at a PRICE
2005-2006 supercharged would be my choice good luck
