The problem with the stick is that many people don't know how to use a clutch properly. I've read about too many folks having to replace clutches at or before 40k. As for which Mini I'd be looking at if I were in the market. It would probably be a 05-6 R53s with low miles and a GP would be even better. As far as new Mini's go the R53 IMO are the only ones that will over time maintain a strong resale and be collectible. And no matter what Mini one has the one thing we all have in common is every Mini is pretty cool.
