May be in Germany soon, where is the factory?
Was in GB ?
Do they offer tours?

There is no MINI factory in Germany.

The Countryman and Paceman are built at the Magna-Styr plant in Austria.

All other MINIs are built outside of Oxford or at a very newly opened factory in Holland. Plant Oxford offers tours, don't know if the Magna-Styr or new Dutch plant does.

Well worth doing, I think I've been about 6 times now, although last time I went was in early 2012. I will have to get one booked soon!

Will be going thru Austria on way to Italy, worth a check there.

If you're in Munich, hit up the BMW tour.

 

+1 on this. BMW Welt (World) now has all BMW brands in there, including MINI. Well worth a visit.

 

I took a 3 hour tour there last year...went through the manufacturing plant, the Welt, and the museum. Worth every Euro!

 

You paid € for a marketing tour?
Kinda like a Budweiser tour...free...and you get a sample....bet no sample on a BMW tour!!

 

If you think you may do the BMW tour you have to book ahead weeks in advance...they won't take "walk-ins".

 

You can walk around the Welt at your leisure, not sure about the Museum (may just need admission tickets). I rather enjoyed the all 3 tours and it was easier to plan a single 3 hour tour than coordinate (2) separate tours.

I'd turn down a Bud sample.
