Where is the oil filter on the 2014 Countryman?

 

I have a hardtop but I'm guessing since it's the same n18 engine it should be just below the turbo on right side when facing the engine

Yep,

Cooper S , SX ALL, and JCW ( N18 engine) down under the coolant tank near the turbo. Same location on the NON Turbo Countryman Cooper ( N16 engine) ( just no turbo above it ). Little easier to reach.

Look for the back housing Cap , the filter clips to the bottom underneath :
