Hello guys,
I have just bought a 2010 mini base model to become the newest part of our race team. We have never worked on these cars so forgive me that i don't know very much about these cars. Our problem right now is that the the series we are running the car in requires a full dash and use of the computers that came with it from the factory. We want to remove the keyless feature and have no keys on the car. I know that i can bypass the keyless system entirely but we figured since the push to start button is already there, is there a way to use it to start the car with no keys at all?
Btw, all locking mechanisms will be removed to there is no need for keys there either.

i cant be of any technical help.....but i do know the ECUs in these cars are very finicky, im going to hazard a guess and say its not going to like being "hotwired" very much......
i think your best bet would be to just tether the fob in the car so it cant get lost and just keep it in there permanently.

i think i will glue the chip inside the key into the spot where the key goes that should fix it. If anyone else has any suggestions I'm open to them.
