Just wondering if anyone in the midwest has had their Mini tuned by AMS Performance ... they do custom tunes 2hr dyno session will run you just under 600 dollars... for those of you that dont know anything about AMS they specialize in GTR s, EVO s, STI s, but they do BMW BENZ s, etc... tgey just built the worlds fastest GTR street car pulling 7.98 quarter mile times... just shocked havent heard anything on here about them I wonder if they would be a good place to take the Mini or maybe if we get a big enough group interested in Tuning we can get someone to come out RMW, Detroit Tuning, WMW anyone interested...im sure between all the Mini clubs around here we can get a decent group to do the tunes maybe sometime in the spring... Any thoughts anyone...?

 

Just because you can tune (mostly Japanese) cars, doesn't mean you can tune, (or decode) a MINI. Not saying they can't, but it's not easy...

And I don't think I would classify any car that does a 8 second 1/4 mile as a street car. lol

 

I completely agree with you but they do BMW s as well...There one of the best tuners in the chicago-land area...im really just curious if anyone has had there Mini tuned there.
as for the GTR thats running 7.98 quarter times, thats what they are calling it is a street car lol just for the record it does have a parachute haha
