Driver side rubber floor mat rides up

My driver's side rubber floor mat keeps riding up and covering the gas pedal when I get in. Has anyone figured a way to keep the mat stationary on the floor?

Depending on what floor mats you have these work for me http://www.ecstuning.com/Mini-2007-C...Mats/ES206523/ I have the rubber S mats and they have two round Velcro spots on the backside and my mats stay in place.

I have the OEM rubber mats. I still have the Velcro hook discs on the floor but the loop Velcro has come off the mats long ago. I have tried sticky Velcro tape on the mats, but that comes off.

Anyone have a solution? Maybe a glue that would anchor new Velcro loop strips to the bottom of the mat would do it, but what type of glue?

Had the same problem with carpet mats a few years ago. Some dime store Velcro, two tin can lids and two 1" machine screws had it sorted in 15 or 20 minutes.

I'd suggest using a tube of contact adhesive available at any hardware store. Put a thin coat of the adhesive on the bottom of the loop Velcro, and also on the bottom of your mat. Let both dry, when you touch them together after they're dry, you'll have a near-permanent bond.
