I guess we have to wait and see it in the flesh. That yellow-fire colour hides the subtle curves of the car...

It's actually kinda starting to grow on me.

 

I actually dont mind it. Not a fan of the bottom portion of the front bumper.

Also.. is it me or does it look a bit.. longer?

I guess they had to change the "look" a bit , just for the sake of changing it..

I am glad I got my 2013 Coupe

Actually I almost regret not getting the hardtop.

 

I don't mind it other than the front apron. Hopefully they fix it with a facelift in 4 years.

 

Too bad :/ the minis used to b able to look agressive and racey. They killed that its a mix of fruity and ugly at least the front end is.

 

I guess the best thing here is to wait and see it in person.. I am curious to see what they really did on the inside of the car also..lol.. But as of right now..Im glad I got my 13..cherrioooo..

 

My instant reaction to the front grill area is "ugh", but I'll have to see it in person to render an informed opinion. The grill area seems awfully busy and the headlights look strange (white circles).

 

This view really looks like it's from the movie "Cars", someone has made a very conscience effort to animate it. The headlights really look like eyes to me.

not impressed...looks like they just took the MINI design and diluted it making it look just a bit more average and more similar to any other car on the road.

now that i look at it.. if you cover the front headlights, the car actually looks pretty similar to the old one - its just that that feature is so dominant. also, i'm pretty sure its the optional LED package. Base cooper should perform very well

 

It's really hard to make a final opinion on a car I've yet to sit in, let alone see a photo of that wasn't taken at 100 yards or further away. Look up "perspective distortion" if you want to understand what I mean. The subject is essentially flattened and details and foreshortening gets muddy; in other words long zoomed shots make cars look terrible.


I bet attitudes will shift once you see official photos taken from much, much closer to the car.

The front looks like a tiny japanese/korean car (no offense). Almost cartoonish actually. Backside is ok though.

Heck my 07 MC looks better than that.

 

Those "circles" are the LED DRLs. The bottom sections that aren't lit are the turn signals.

I sure hope this one has the optional Liberace chrome package ...

 

I hate going to a website to look at the pictures.

 

like i said, the car seems overall very similar in dimension to the old car. it's just that the headlights with LEDs are so dominant/polarizing

 

They look like they went with halos. I am hoping that its an optional part.
