Best current MINI scan tool

Must be compatible with Gen 1 & 2

Able to read & reset trouble codes

Would prefer to be able to reset maintenance intervals

Watcha got?

Seeing that you have a 2006 and a 2008, I would go with a Scan Gauge II. I have one in my Countryman for voltage, coolant temp, oil temp, etc. It works great, and will also reset codes. It works with all cars from 2005 up, so it will work fine with your first-gen too.

What would be a good reader for the '04 R50? I would like to do all my maintenance instead of going to the "Mothership"

Thanks. I ordered an Ultragauge this afternoon. Looks pretty much equivalent to the Scangauge. I have Torque and an OBD dongle but I find it extremely unreliable. Won't connect half the time. Never works on the R53. YMMV
