Does anybody know if a shift **** (manual 6 speed) from a MCS second generation fits inot a first generation MCS ?

Also, do the brake calipers from a JCW fit into a cooper S ? plug and play or does it take some work ?

Shift ***** are different, jcw brake parts are different also . Go to real Oem ,for
Part no.s

 

The OEM shift ***** do not interchange between a 1st gen and 2nd gen car. I have even seen where there may be a difference between the 2002-2004 and 2004-2006 cars. I know this first hand, I had a CF JCW 2nd gen shift **** I tried putting on my 1st gen car and it did not work. I even had an adapter made that I thought would work but it did not. I am still trying to buy a 1st gen CF JCW shift ****.

R56S brakes are late (05-06) R53JCW brakes. I've done the swap using EBC Red Stuff and EBC rotors and love them. Do a search and you'll find days of reading on it.

 

yeah, but i have am 04 MCS. It just that i have a friend with a second gen JCW who upgraded his brakes and was willing to pass down the old ones to me but I guess thats not gonna work.
