i never realized that was a different car actually. There is/was one at the local dealership last time i went there a few weeks ago and just assumed it was a clubman with stuff on the windows and the metal cage behind the front seat because it was meant for dogs or something since there is some bulldog decals on it.
No one was going to pay 25% more for a rear seat-delete (essentially).
They are selling well in other markets. Why BMW/MINI didn't import them as a 2-seat Clubman and then finalize the conversion Stateside (adding the cage and doing the window delete at P.O.E. to avoid the "chicken tax") probably had something to do with UK Labor Union agreements.
