Mini San Antonio

Anyone have any dealings with them? My only one was pretty unfavorable.
I am still trying to have the aux cooler recall done, have appt for Thursday. I was going to have an oil change done there since I don't know how many miles since last (only had the car 2k miles), but they are quoting me 89 bucks when the owners lounge says 69 for that service.
Do dealers not have to honor that price?

$69 on MINI of San Antonio's website. The SA was quoting you the "regular" price, perhaps.

I've met with the sales guys at MINI rides, and they were good folk (they put on some great rides, and are known for picking up the tab at lunch at times). I've heard complaints about their service, but haven't any experience with them.

In theory (according my SA at another Penske-owned MINI dealer in TX), you need to print out the "coupon" because they send it in.

that's funny, because when I returned their voicemail about the recall repair, that guy quoted me 99....

Hmmm, might bring it up on Thursday. Thanks

Well, as I implied, it's a "coupon" price, so the standard rate probably applies unless a coupon is presented... or asked for (my SA printed out a coupon for me when I forgot to bring in a printout).

I have a preferred SA, and he's who I deal with at MINI of Austin (recommendations by PM). I think it pays to be known by and on good terms with the person you leave your car with.

Just print out the MINI of SA coupon and give it to him when you check in.

Sorry, but when mini USA advertises that as the standard price, I shouldn't have to ask for it. And when I asked for it they told me they didn't know anything about that price, yet it's right there on their website, word for word the same as the mini USA site.
Definitely doesn't give me much confidence that they will be honest with anything else on the car.
My wife's coworker just had her bmw there last week and they told her it was time to replace her run flat tires. Yet her car doesn't have run flats and they quoted her several thousand to replace them.
I just don't think their service department is any good. I'm glad for you if mini of Austin is better. It sucks when a dealership is bad. I have a third party warranty and Euro San Antonio has been great so far, so I don't plan on using them for anything except the recall.

My covered maintenance and warranty work was all done without hassle.

I haven't been back since I've been out of warranty though.

I change my own oil and am looking for a shop to give her a wellness checkup before I consider driving 2500 miles cross country next week.

I've only been there once, but euro san antonio has a good reputation working on mini's. They had several there when mine went for the timing chain repair. They are on 281, just north of 410.

Same with me. Warranty work was done well. Think I'll try San Antonio Euro next time I need something I can't do.
